Nonprofits Change the World

Efforts to work to serve others and meet the immediate needs of people are vital to our society and to justice.  Today, nonprofits all over the world are doing extraordinary things to feed, clothe, and educate our fellow world citizens.

Martin Luther King Jr. stood up for human rights in a way no one will ever forget and that is why we honor him today.  He was instrumental in the civil rights movement and encouraged people to work together.  He helped to lead and organize the Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.

“Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

While in the 1950’s MLK used flyers, wrote articles, and used word of mouth to spread his message, nonprofits and world changers have flocked to the internet to raise awareness for their causes.

Working with nonprofits is something that I get excited about and something that I enjoy doing. These are the organizations that are working to meet some of our most basic needs as human beings.  They are organizations that work to provide better educational opportunities for kids, provide clean water for developing nations, help to feed the hungry and so much more.

What I enjoy about working with nonprofits is the opportunity first and foremost learn about the needs that they are helping to meet.  I also enjoy being able to work with them to maximize the value that a website can bring to their organization. The great things that these types of organizations are doing is something that I’m glad to be a part of.

Because of the great work that these organizations do, it makes it extremely important that they manage their resources well, yet it is very important for nonprofits to have a great website. Since nonprofits are often times supported by the generosity and donations of others, a great website that is mobile friendly and can easily accept donations, is a key part to allowing people to be able to support the mission and the vision of the nonprofit. If people can easily find you online, you can cast your vision to a larger group of people.
